A Vision Born from Determination
Bengal Battery Co. was founded in 1985 by Mr. Anil Kumar Agarwal, a driven entrepreneur who stepped into the power industry right after completing his education. Armed with ambition and a deep understanding of the region's energy needs, he laid the foundation for what would become North Bengal's most trusted power solutions company.
The journey began as Powerking Battery — a modest operation run from a small godown, dealing in hard rubber, locally manufactured batteries. Through relentless hard work and an unwavering commitment to quality, Mr. Agarwal steadily grew the business. In 1995, he made a pivotal shift to branded Exide batteries, becoming one of the region's earliest authorized dealers. He also became the first to introduce Premier Inverters to the town, pioneering reliable backup power solutions in the area.
Today, carrying forward his legacy and entrepreneurial spirit, his sons Sidhant Agarwal and Vedant Agarwal have joined the business after completing their education. Together, the next generation is steering Bengal Battery Co. into a new era — expanding into solar energy, advanced UPS systems, and cutting-edge power technologies, while staying rooted in the values of trust, quality, and customer-first service that their father built over four decades.
